Here Is Your ~ Grateful Me, Turkey and Tree!
I hope your students have a lot of fun with this activity! If you don’t celebrate Thanksgiving, no worries! You can use the Grateful Me Tree and still enjoy teaching your students about gratitude 🙂
For Turkey/Tree #1: Simply have the students write in what it is they are grateful for, directly on the feathers/leaves. Quick and easy! And it’s already on pretty colored paper so it looks great! Want to make it more? Put lined writing paper on the back and have students write a letter about something they are grateful for. Their parents will love this as a gift!
For Turkey/Tree #2: Have students cut out the feathers/leaves and place them on the turkey/tree. To have the feathers go behind the turkey’s body, you can make slits around the turkey’s body and have your students slide in the feathers. Then place a bit of tape on the back of the paper to hold the feathers in place. Alternatively, fold the very bottom of the feathers and make a tight crease, then glue the folded over portion on the edge of the turkey’s body. You’ll have a turkey with feathers that pop!
Turkey/Tree #3: Your students can cut everything out and glue the parts together on a larger, colorful piece of paper or you can put them on a bulletin board.
Thanks So Much and Happy Teaching!
